The fall season came and went in the blink of an eye, and we’re at that time of year where we’re getting ready to prepare for another long Chicago winter. But as we approach Thanksgiving this year, it also signals that the holiday season is just around the corner!

We’re The Ben Lalez Team, and while we’re getting ready to put our snow tires on for winter home showings, we’re also finding ways to make sure we enjoy the most of what Chicago has to offer as 2025 wraps up.

We’ve put together this guide covering some of the best parades, markets, light displays, and events happening around the city. We hope you make the most of your November and December in Chicago!

Wrapping Things Up

As we head to the tail end of 2025 and into the winter months, we know that summer feels so far away. But there are plenty of things to do that can make the winter enjoyable.  Between the markets, light festivals, and performances, you’ve got lots of options for getting out of the house (even when it’s freezing).

If you’re thinking about making a move over the next few months and want to talk about which neighborhoods might be best for you, we’d be happy to talk! We know the city better than anybody, and can help you see parts of Chicago you might not have even discovered yet. Give us a shout, and we’ll be talking to you soon!
